FAQs (frequently asked questions)
No question is a bad question.
We welcome all questions — and will do our best to answer all of your questions about our clinic, and the services we offer.
If you’ve asked yourself “how much does an abortion cost?” — the abortion cost depends on how far along you are and what anesthesia you choose. Fees will be discussed at the time of your appointment.
HAVE QUESTIONS? See what patients ask most.

What forms of payment do you take?
We take cash, credit, debit, check, and money orders.
Do you offer financial resources or payment plans? Do you take insurance or medicaid?
There are some financial resources (local and national) that can help reduce or cover the costs of the procedure or pill. These resources can be sent to you via text or email after you have made an appointment with us. We do not have payment plans.
Everything has to be be accounted for (pledges/funds) and paid on the day of the appointment, specifically after the ultrasound.
In the state of Virginia, Medicaid will not cover an abortion unless your life or health is in danger. If you have insurance other than medicaid, when you make your appointment be sure to give us your information so we can call and see if you are covered.
Do you offer birth control plans afterwards?
Yes, we offer birth control in multiple forms, including pills, patch, IUD, Nexplanon, Nuva ring and the Depo shot. If you do not have insurance, we can see if you qualify for our assistance program.
What is a 1-day appointment vs. a 2-day appointment?
A one-day appointment/procedure is for patients up to 14 weeks.
If you are 15 weeks and have NOT had a vaginal birth you will receive a 2-day appointment.
If you are 15 weeks or 16 weeks and have had a vaginal birth, it will be a 1-day appointment.
If you are 17 weeks or more you WILL have a 2-day appointment no matter what.
How far do you go for the medical pill?
We go up to 9 weeks for the medical pill (abortion pill).
Which parts of the process am I able to have my companion/partner accompany me?
Your partner/companion can accompany you during the ultrasound, counseling, and bloodwork. They cannot be with you during the procedure or in the recovery room. There is a waiting room in the same building the procedure occurs in where they can wait for you there.
How long should I plan on being there?
You can plan on being here 3-4 hours on average especially for a procedure.
Medical pill patients can plan on being here about 2.5 hrs. There are many steps involved in a visit and it takes time to make sure everything is done right.
What if I am unsure throughout the process?
If you are unsure, we have people here that are qualified to give you all the resources and discuss all the options with no persuasion or judgment.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Some sanitary pads, phone charger, form of payment, and ibuprofen or Tylenol.
What if I am too far along?
If you are over 22 weeks we have the numbers of multiple clinics that might be able to assist you. Stop at the front desk or give us a call and we can distribute the numbers.
Are the costs flat rates or are there additional costs?
The costs are flat rates with everything included with the exception of the Rhogam shot, which is $50, for people who are Rh -.
Who has access to my records?
Only the clinic staff has access to personal records.
